Most hospice patients qualify for the Medicare hospice benefit, which covers up to 100% of hospice services. There is no reason to delay hospice care for financial reasons. The Medicare Hospice Benefit is a comprehensive benefit where Medicare Part A covers all care services at 100%. Treatment that is not related to a terminal illness is still covered under Medicare Parts A and B with all the usual rules that apply (such as deductibles, coverage guidelines and deductibles).
